Reflections on the first day

Today's preliminary discussions on "what is space?" and "what is scenography?", together with contemplations on the day's issues in terms of my own research questions / problems lead me to a brief and potentially transient conclusion:
The intention to provoke and to intervene in a already existing and problematic sphere (namely public space in this and my own case) carries a risk to be equally problematic in terms of the potential of such an intervention or provocation to be another form of imposition / enforcement added to the already encroaching forces of public sphere on the social behavior. However, the primacy given to the choice of particular space for an intervention and the specific reasons of this choice allows to build a proposition departing from the context rather than introduction of an exterior idea and content of intervention. In this sense, today's discussions and work channeled me to think on space more deliberately as a condition of the action.
An action with a higher potential to communicate and negotiate with its addressee...
