ReplyDeleteThis time in terms of PATTERNS the cars are going in circles, around and the people on the crosswalk are going in striaght lines.
ReplyDeleteThe zebra crossings, while telling us we are allowed to cross a street safely through them, they also reduce our accessibility to the street and inherently directs our trajectories over the city. The “island” in the middle of crossroads at Porte de Namur for me underlines the interdiction in the guise of allowance and safety.
